Matt & Brie's mountain top elopement: North Arkansas

This couple just makes me smile. This past few weeks while I have been editing their wedding pictures it's so clear to me just how crazy these two are about each other. Which is probably the reason they couldn't WAIT to get married! Brie & Matt decided to elope to Mountain Home, Arkansas. They said their vows over a gorgeous mountain view with only me and the officiant there to witness the ceremony. I was honored to be a part of such a sweet & intimate day. Please enjoy some of my favorite shots of the day.

Brie's bridals: North Arkansas

I was elated when Brie & Matt told me they were getting married.  I was immediately intrigued when they told me of their secret wedding plans. I love a good secret! I don't shoot a lot of weddings since my focus is mainly children and families but I JUMPED at this opportunity to shoot the wedding of Brie & Matt. This was a very special wedding as it was a true wedding elopement and my very first one to be a part of. The only people at the elopement was the bride, groom, the officiant and me, the photographer. It was a true honor to be a part of such a special day.

I am finishing up their wedding pictures but I couldn't help but share a few of Brie getting ready and her bridal portraits that were actually taken right after the wedding ceremony, hence the huge smile on her face! :)

Stay tuned for the wedding post later this week.

Sam & Jill:: Wedding:: Searcy, Arkansas

What a blessing it has been to work with both Sam & Jill! After shooting their engagement session, I knew their wedding would be nothing less than amazing. I was not disappointed. Jill and her mother worked with Carissa at Modern Traditions Wedding Consulting to make their day perfect. Everything from wearing her great grandmother's brooch to collecting milk glass pieces for the reception gave Sam & Jill's wedding day the perfect vintage & classic feel to it. The most special part for me was the worship song they led the congregation in. What a great day of worship. Thank you Jill & Sam for letting me be a part of your day! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day. Check out more from the day over on my Facebook page: Cara Beth Photography.

Sam & Jill::Engagement Session

I just finished up my most recent engagement shoot of a precious couple, Sam and Jill. I knew immediately how special these two were because of their instant attraction to each other. I had so much fun on their shoot, two hours passed by so quickly! I didn't want it to end! Sam and Jill have a love of music and even sang a few songs for me during their shoot. Wow! So much talent packed into one couple! Congratulations, you two! I cannot wait to shoot your wedding next summer! :)

Weddings

Since I created a Facebook Page a few months ago, I have had many people ask me if I photograph weddings. GREAT QUESTION! Here is the answer: YES! I am actually starting to get into weddings more and I have found that so far I am LOVIN' them!

My first wedding, several years ago, was to say the least, the scariest day of my life. Oh, don't worry, the pictures came out fine and the clients were very pleased with the end result, but I almost gave myself a heart attack trying to remember everything to do. My biggest fear was that I would forget to take a crucial picture from the day. I mean, it's not like you can RE-DO a whole wedding day! But, as with most things, those fears subsided with practice. I have been a second shooter for my great friend and business partner, Christen Byrd, and have really enjoyed photographing weddings. I have learned that being organized pays off! I ALWAYS go over ahead of time with the client a list of pictures to make sure I don't leave out a very important shot. It also helps to have an assistant the day of the wedding. I would not have made it that first wedding if it weren't for my mother, the best assistant EVER! She followed me around with a clipboard and kept telling me, "Don't forget to take this one!" ha! She's super woman! If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding, I would LOVE to sit down with you and talk to see if we are a good match for your special day. You can always email me questions or a request for a price list as well!
